Jumpa jugak akhirnya

Minggu ni mood mengenang sejarah sempena bulan kemerdekaan ni,huhu..Aku dok kutip pingat-pingat aku yang berhabuk dan berkarat tu, letak dalam plastik satu-satu sebab nak simpan balik..Kesian dia..Dan aku kumpulkan balik keratan-keratan akhbar yang pernah siarkan cerita pasal aku dan ada gambar aku.Tapi yang paling aku sedih, cerita pasal aku muntah kat MSSM Penang 2005 dalam The Star takde, tak tau kenapa aku tak potong pulak paper tu..Dan semua paper yang ade cerita pasal aku, tu pun ibu aku yang gunting (terima kasih ibu)..

Carik punya carik, tak jumpa gak..Tiba-tiba aku teringat, kat The Star online mesti ada simpan cerita-cerita lama..Dengan semangatnya, aku pun carik..Dan yang manisnya, aku jumpa..

Sebahagian daripada berita tu je aku amik..

"There were surprise winners in both the boys' and girls' Under-18 400m races.

Negri Sembilan's Abdul Hadi Roslan finally got his first victory over his closest opponent, Amran Raj of Perak, in an exciting finish yesterday.

Just as the runners were getting into position at the starting blocks for the 400m final, the 17-year-old Abdul Hadi got so nervous that he had to rush to the side of the track to vomit. The restart was held up for a few minutes to enable him to regain his composure.

But once the starter's gun went off, Abdul Hadi showed no sign of nervousness and shot off the blocks quickly.

He was overtaken by Amran at the final bend but Abdul Hadi had enough power in his reserves to burst past on the final stretch to win by a photo finish. Abdul Hadi clocked 49.44 against a 49.47 by Amran.

CLOSE RACE: Boys U-18 400m winner Abdul Hadi Roslan (left) of Negri Sembilan overcomes his nervousness to beat rival Amran Raj of Perak.
“I had been beaten by Amran all through my running career. So it feels great to finally beat him for the first time,” said Abdul Hadi.

“I threw up because I was so nervous before the race. I was afraid because I have been training so hard for this meet and I don't want to lose to Amran again.”

The pre-race favourite Amran pipped Abdul Hadi to the Sukma silver medal and the Under-18 MSSM gold medal last year. And on both occasions in Seremban.

Abdul Hadi, who trains under his personal coach, Raimee Mansor in Kuala Pilah, will represent the country in the world junior championships in Venezuela in July. The 18-year-old Amran is not eligible to compete in the Under-17 world meet.

Kalau nak cerita penuh, klik kat sini..Tapi jangan nak komen sangat gambar tu..Orang tengah semangat, memang la macam tu..Hak3..

p/s : Correction - The World Junior Championship 2005 was held at Marakesh, Morocco, not Venezuela as mentioned..
